The concept
Not a search box.
A conversation.
Locis understands what you actually want. Ask for "somewhere quiet to work with good coffee"and it doesn't keyword-match - it understands the vibe, checks opening hours and crowd levels, and finds places that genuinely fit.
Conversational, not search-box
Talk or type in plain English. Locis infers intent (cafe, bar, park) from natural language, not keywords.
Brutally honest recommendations
Chains and corporate spots are actively penalised. High-rated places with few reviews (hidden gems) are boosted.
Context-aware in real time
Live GPS, time of day, opening hours, and heuristic crowd levels all factor into every recommendation.
How it works
Ask → Find → Go
Ask
Speak or type what you're looking for. Be as specific or as vague as you like - Locis handles the rest.
Find
Locis queries Google Places with your live location, scores candidates by vibe, crowd, status, and distance, then writes a natural reply.
Go
Get top picks with directions and time estimates. One tap launches Google Maps. Follow-up chips let you refine further.
Features
Built for how you
actually explore.
Voice-first
Hold to record, release to send. Fast-whisper transcription with spoken responses played back on device.
Live location
GPS updates every 30 seconds and 100 metres. Your current suburb shown prominently on every screen.
Smart vibe matching
Quiet, lively, or neutral - inferred from your request and applied to every scoring decision.
Time-of-day awareness
Morning suggests cafes. Evening surfaces dinner and bars. Late-night shows what's actually still open.
Hidden gem detection
High rating + low review count = boosted. Chains and franchises penalised. Real local picks every time.
Route integration
Top pick includes directions with distance and time. One tap launches in Google Maps.
